talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio stop, alongside sister stop talkSPORT2, today consolidates its position as the destination for live football on Saturdays (GameDay), whilst also adding additional weeknight matches.
The News UK network has today been awarded three Premier League live radio broadcast rights packages for the next three football seasons to 2025.
talkSPORT and talkSPORT2 have secured rights to broadcast Premier League games at 12.30pm, 3pm and 7.45pm on Saturday – delivering award-winning coverage to GameDay listeners, who can also look forward to a new must-listen 5pm phone-in straight after the action to have their say.
In a meaningful development, talkSPORT has also expanded its live match offering beyond GameDay, picking up exclusive rights for all Premier League matches on Friday and Monday evenings, in addition as all midweek matches rescheduled from weekends. In each of the next three seasons, the talkSPORT network will also carry all matches at 12 noon on Sundays in addition as twenty further exclusive matches played as part of the festive Bank Holiday fixture programme and a further midweek round.
talkSPORT currently broadcasts over 400 matches per season, 250 of which are exclusive to the network. It will continue to broadcast across all major men’s football competitions including matches in the FA Cup and English Football League (EFL) plus games in the Carabao Cup, Champions League and every game in the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ in Qatar. talkSPORT also has more women’s coverage than ever before, including the Women’s Super League, Women’s FA Cup and Women’s Euros this summer.

The talkSPORT network increased its audience in the latest round of RAJAR examination, recording 3.1m listeners, tuning in for 17.6m hours weekly.
The talkSPORT network also has an exclusive global rights partnership with the Premier League until 2025, meaning talkSPORT can provide official live and on-need audio coverage of all 380 Premier League matches to listeners around the world outside of the UK and Republic of Ireland.

talkSPORT viewers can now watch some of their favourite programmes with 65 hours broadcast each week across social channels including to their 1 million YouTube subscribers.
Earlier this month talkSPORT picked up four awards at the Radio Academy ARIAS. The network won Gold for Best Marketing Campaign for its UEFA Euro 2020 activity. Lianne Sanderson won Silver for Best New Presenter, and the network won two Bronze: for Best Coverage of An Event, for its coverage of the Euro 2020 final and for Best Sports Show for GameDay Exclusive. In March, talkSPORT’s Laura Woods won Presenter of the Year for the second consecutive year at the SJA Awards. White and Jordan, starring Jim White and Simon Jordan – and including Trevor Sinlcair, Danny Murphy and Martin Keown, also won Best Sports Show.
talkSPORT continues to be a heavyweight across other meaningful moments in the sporting calendar, with exclusive World Championship Boxing, including Tyson Fury’s recent record-breaking win over Dillian Whyte. Earlier this year the network carried commentary on the West Indies v England test series. Looking ahead, it will be providing must-listen commentary from the 150th Open at St Andrews in July, in addition as exclusive rights to the Rugby Union Autumn Nations Series.
